Assist Diary

ASSIST Diary is designed for the athlete, sports enthusiast or personal training client whose trainer is using ASSIST Trainer. It enables the trainer and his/her client/athlete to keep each other fully informed wherever in the world they may be.

Once your trainer or coach has completed your training programme it is sent to you by e-mail (or floppy disk if necessary) and you load it into ASSIST Diary, which is installed on your own PC. Once loaded, you can view or print the programme details in exactly the same way that your trainer does, so there is complete synergy between you both which greatly facilitates good communications.

As you progress through your training programme you can keep a simple training diary which you can send periodically back to your trainer who will load it into their ASSIST Trainer, thereby keeping their records up to date with your progress.

In addition to the link with ASSIST Trainer, you can also create your own simple plan using ASSIST Diary, keep your records organised and track your progress. Most of the features described for ASSIST Trainer are also available in ASSIST Diary when used in this way.

For example, you can record fitness tests results and race performances over time and use them to produce graphs and charts.

You can also set up a checklist for yourself which has many potential uses, for example to make sure you are fully prepared for that event.

Floppy Disk Required

NOTE: Installation of Assist Trainer, Assist Diary or the ToolBoxes requires a floppy disk drive to be available.

Windows Vista Issue

NOTE: We have recently been made aware of some problems with Assist on Windows Vista systems. This has been caused by much tighter security settings that are now applied by that new system and Assist is one of many applications that has been affected.

There is a workaround for the problem (see the Assist support page for details). However, this is not a supported fix and it may not be possible to apply it on some networked systems.
